Northern Mockingbird (Mimuspolyglottos)

Took this photo yesterday but was having trouble ID'ing the bird. I was leaning towards N. Mockingbird but the dark eye was throughing me off. Several folks from our local bird club ID'd as N. Mockingbird so guess I will stick with that as probably a juvi or young adult that has kept the dark retina in eye.

Amazing catch of one of my absolute faves, Ken! Definitely a young mocker. The blue-grey eye and the yellow on the beak are the dead giveaways. Really a terrific, sharp image, with a classic breyer perch!

:bounce: Super capture of this single-footed singer, Ken, nicely caught showing the power of its little lungs!!! :t: :t:
