Northern Pintail (female)

Northern Pintail (female) (Anas acuta)

Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at approximately 35m.

I enjoy catching shots if animals "doing things" like this one, quacking at a male not far ahead of her.

My first basic attempt to use Topaz DeNoise to clean-up the noise from one of my photos.
Location
Oakland, CA, USA
Date taken
2/7/2016
Scientific name
Anas acuta
Equipment used
Canon SX60
Doesn't she look cheerful! A great behavioural shot, Kevin, with lovely lighting and I like the background too.

A most beautiful image of a pintail. Fantastic plumage detail and great lighting. I like the colours of the water too.
