The Saw-whets have yet to return to my area this year so I thought I'd post one from last winter.

Thanks once again for all the great comments! I was quite pleased to capture this eyes-wide-open shot as usually they are sleepy eyed during bright sunny days. These are such cute little owls that it's a joy to be in their presence and rarely do they show any signs of distress. Thanks to all for looking and commenting!
