Northern Wheatear

I took an afternoon off work to do some pictures of a feeding station, for a web-site...not mine ...I don't have one. I learned that some Whinchat had dropped in at Chorlton Ees the day before so I made a long walk to a field where the whinchat had been seen. With the birds being on passage, it was doubtful that they would still be there and of course they were not. However in a burnt stubble field I saw this wheatear and did a lot of crawling to get near the bird. Burnt stubble is not the most pleasant stuff to crawl through, though I have crawled through worse! Anyway, as always, it was fun and I enjoyed my day immensely.
