Not an eagle (Alauda arvensis)

While the others watched the male finish his meal, and watched the female watching him, I got distracted by a Skylark I saw land on a ledge just below the female. It was pretty far off, but the first Skylark I've gotten a photo of in five years.

'Fraid I may not get much browsing done today. Have some baking and housecleaning to do before company arrives for coffee and cake this evening. I may have to catch up tomorrow.

from one extreme to another, Ann, looks so tiny after those big monsters, great photo in a lovely setting, many tfs!!!
