Palamedes Swallowtail

It just landed next to me and it even gave me time to back off the zoom.
Habitat
The Palamedes swallowtail is a large, dark swallowtail butterfly marked with yellow spots and bands. It is particularly common in and near swampy woods.

Nikon D90, SIGMA 80-400/4.5-5.6 DG OS. plus a 1+1/4 extender. Hand held
love them when they are friendly, all summer being trying to get our swallow tails on a similar shot but they are ultra fast for me, LOL great job Helwa g/f.

One of my favorite Swallowtails, unfortunately I have to travel to see them (lol). Fabulous close-up KC! TFS!
