Not sure I can swallow this.. (Fringilla coelebs)

It's not often I see the Chaffinches with the whole peanuts, and can't believe he actually took it.

Presumably they nibble on them, though I've never seen them eat the nuts.

I saw the female with the fungus foot the other day, so she seems to be doing OK for the moment.

TTTW so not the best of focus, sorry.

A lovely shot of this handsome little chap, Delia !!! Thanks for sharing. I've not seen chaffinches eat peanuts but they don't really get a look in when the Jays are about. I too have a female chaffinch visitor with a fungus foot and like yours she seems to manage okay.
