I know it's a Laughing Gull but can't figure out what it dived numerous times to pick up what it is in its mouth. Any thoughts?

I haven't a clue KC but obviously this gull thought it worth to keep going after it. Excellent action and behavioral shot! TFS!
 
no clue what it is, KC, but it seems like a super catch!! excellent photo of this lovely gull, top marks, many tfs!!!
