Nuttie
From Cornell
"One of the few birds found almost exclusively in the United States, the Brown-headed Nuthatch is restricted to the pine forests of the southeastern states. A small but declining population is also found in the Bahamas."

Thank heavens I'm surrounded by about 50 Loblolly Pines.

A beautiful little nuthatch, and so well taken, KC! I saw my first in Florida, 2014. I'm surrounded by pines also, White Pines, but this year I have not seen one Red-breasted Nuthach or a Creeper.

I like the beautiful lighting and harmonious colours in this great shot of a rare nuthatch, KC.An excellent image.Fifty pine-trees round your home, that must be nice.

Ah, SE. So not one I'll have a chance to see when I have that conference in Boston. Oh well. Some other trip then. And meanwhile, I'll enjoy yours |=)|
