NZ Dotterel (Charadrius obscurus)

Been using an Olympus E620 and 300mm lens for a few months now, a combination that I love but you sure have to get close, so must say that I believe my old canon SX50 with all that reach is still the better all-round birding camera.

Well, you sure got close enough for this one! And he looks very relaxed in your company |=)|
But I know what you mean about being "spoiled" by a superzoom. together with the Panasonic fz200, I had my Nikon D90 along on the Romania trip, with a 100-400 zoom lens. I found it was a lot of weight to haul around for what now feels like a very short reach.
