NZ Pigeon (Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae)

It was really dull and this pigeon was eating huge figs in a monster fig tree, try as I might I just could not get a good shot of the bird downing one of these amazing figs!

Are you sure you couldn't get a bit more detail in this shot, Tom? (joke!!) I really do wonder sometimes why I lug all this heavy gear around when I see the stunning detail obtained with the SX50. Fabulous shot!

That perfectly placed leaf in front has reshaped the pigeon into a most striking new species :eek!: But then, even without the leaf, this is a spectacular shot :t: :t:

My first impression was that your pigeons have long necks, but then I figured it out!! lol!! Lovely color and detail Tom (as usual)! tfs it!!
