NZ Pigeon (Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae)

I was taking this birds photo in Fox township, a small touristy place, when a bus load of Chinese holidaymakers became interested in what I was doing and soon the tree was surrounded by said Chinese with long lens cameras. I took photos of them, they took photos of the pigeon and the pigeon carried on eating, all happy!

What a stunning bird and captured in a remarkable pose. Fabulous lighting showing rich colors and iridescence with a beautiful blue sky. Spectacular Tom!!!!
