Obama Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

We got a kick out of seeing this bald eagle. They are common on the Mississippi river which is about 40 miles away but we have never seen one in our backyard. My wife and I were watching the Obama inauguration on TV when we saw him sitting in nearby tree. He stayed several hours and then left for good. Maybe it's a signal from the new President or a "Thank You" for our vote.
