Odd face
It wasn't until I started processing this picture to upload that I noticed something going on with the feathers coming out of the side of his face.

Still can't work it out, whether he's just got a loose feather hanging down? Dunno... seems more than that.

Not sure either D. It does look strange though. Good that you got a pic of it.
 
I'm inclined to say, D,
after looking at a few
photographs, that the
bird's markings are
creating the illusion
of a loose feather.
What do I know, though?
A fine shot, regardless.
 
in all cases, a great photo of this lovely tit, Delia!!! its face does look a bit weird indeed, top job, many tfs!!!
