office hawk

My boss was surprised by this (Red Tailed?) Hawk who had accidentally crashed through the office window. He stayed for about half an hour. After recovering from the shock, and getting spooked by all the attention from my co-workers, he took off back through the broken window. We can only guess that he was chasing prey and the mirror effect of the tinted window must have looked like sky until the last second. Can anyone confirm what species?

Like the new member of staff. We don't have this type of Hawk in the UK so can't help with the ID.

Welcome to Birdforum.

I'd have to agree with you that this is a Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk IMHO but I'm not an expert on raptors.
