Ol' blue eyes
I thought the eyes on this Satin Bowerbird were really striking!!!

I've never seen anything else coming close to that.

I can't actually count this one as a Lifer, as I'd seen a female a few days before on the Gold Coast, but this is the first picture I managed to get of this species.

You are right can't say I have ever seen eyes like those before. They look like Paul Newman's eyes. Funny I used to think why do I have to have brown eyes when I see felines with blue eyes? My Dad has blue eyes and both his parents had brown eyes. Anyway sorry for rambling and that is one super picture, Delia.

A bird I find difficult to photograph, the black seems to absorb all light! A wonderful eye, tfs Delia.
