On top of the food chain ! (Tawny Owl)

When the weather got really unseasonally cold a couple of months or so ago I was extremely lucky to witness the rare sight of a Tawny Owl hunting in broad daylight.
Where did this happen ? Right outside our house! It returned on several days and stayed for quite some time totally unperturbed by my presence at a now open window.
I had the opportunity to take lots of shots but chose this one in hunting mode as it kept an eye out for the slightest movement around the base of my bird feeders where there was the possibility of a Bank Vole looking for crumbs.
