One and only (Acanthiza pusilla)

This Brown Thornbill was a new bird for me, and tit was the only one I got pictures of.

He'd just come out of the bath and was considering another dip. Which of course he did... I've a few images of him splashing around... maybe post some more for your Saturday enjoyment.

Great pensive pose and background arrangement in different shades of green! These leaves together with their shadows form a sort of colonnade around the birdbath, and they all intersect in the middle of the bowl. There's some lovely feather and foot detail in this closeup as well!

Indeed it was Peter... I've never forgotten our weekend there (er was it a weekend, I don't remember, but you know what I mean LOL). Just can't remember the name of the wee one that had a nest in my window... it'll come back to me though. They had a great plot of land, didn't they.
