I guess their pupils are affected by light as well if you look at yesterday's pic the pupil is much larger than it is in this image.

Great timing in this shot of a grackle, KC. The eye is certainly conspicuous whatever the circumstances and the setting.

That's a great flight capture with some rather pretty iridescence too. Excellent work lassie.
