One of my little jewels

One of my little jewels (Archilochus colubris)

Not as many this year thanks to the dang raccoons who keep draining the feeders.

Not sure if there is a problem with his beak or not but it looks a bit off to me.

June, 2015

Archilochus colubris

Nikon D90, SIGMA 80-400/4.5-5.6 DG OS NIKON AF

Beautiful picture of this little warrior showing its colors with pride. It's bill appears as if it might not close all the way but like you said it is hard to tell without close observation. Great close-up KC!!!!!
