Opal-rumped Tanager
Opal-rumped Tanager (Tangara velia subsp. iridina) Sexes similar. This bird has a Ficus fruit in its bill. I only saw this bird briefly one time. Cabaas Yankuam along Shami Road, Reserva Natural Maycu, Zamora-Chinchipe Province, Ecuador. Floodplain of Rio Nangaritza, montane rainforest along the foothills of Cordillera del Condor at 900 m (2,952 ft elevation.
