Orange-footed Scrubfowl (Megapodius reinwardt)

This Scrubfowl was looking rather skeptically at a bun someone had tossed out in the park. The bird picked it up, then dropped it again and walked away, looking for more species-relevant food I hope. Is that a look of disgust on its face?

You have captured the different shades of brown in the plumage brilliantly, Ann. A superb shot of this bird. Maybe it knows there's more, better food elsewhere.
