Orion Cecropian (Historis odius: Nymphalidae) Wingspan 8.9-11.4 cm (3.5-4.5 in).
Habitat
Salt farm, mangrove swamp and disturbed Pacific tropical dry forest at ca. 4 m (13 ft) elevation.
Location
Cocas Rocas Road at the salt farm near Chomes, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica.

outstanding portrait of this attractive butterfly, Stanley, captured in a great original setting, nicely showing the red antennas, love it, many tfs!!

An interesting looking moth this one I think Stanley, with some great markings, which surely must be designed to confuse a bird!!!
