Oropendolas Compared C-RICA SER 2
Attracted to fruit feeders at the lodge were two species of oropendolas, the closer bird on lower left a Montezuma Oropendola, and the more distant bird in the center a Chestnut-headed Oropendola. Both species are in the blackbird-oriole group, and build large pendulous nests in trees.
