OSPREY Port St Lucie, Florida (Pandion haliaetus)

right after I took this picture a lady pulled up to me and asked it I had gotten a good picture of the Eagle. I told her it was not an Eagle and she looked at me as if I was stupid or insane.

Looking lovely against the blue sky, Dave.

When we were in Maine watching cormorants, a lady said she was thrilled to see such lovely puffins. We told her they were cormorants and she looked at us like we were insane. Maybe it’s the same woman!

A wonderful capture you have of this beauty up against the blue sky. Three brilliant detailed shots, Dave, well done.

Gorgeous flight shot! Perhaps those folks were Norwegians. The Norwegian name for Osprey is Fiskeørn - literally Fishing Eagle. I'm sure many know it's not an Eagle other than in linguistic terms, though.
