Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

On a recent trip to Los Angeles I visited the Back Bay nature reserve. Spotting this beautiful bird on a cliff, I initially tried to sneak closer, but it quickly became obvious that it wasn't bothered by my presence in the slightest. In the end I was sat down about 5 meters away taking pictures and these are the results
