Haha :) thanks Stanley, most trees out here are 'hardwoods' (some accurately described as 'ironbarks' :) , so things happen rather slowly out here. A small hollow might take ~50 years to form, a larger one such as this (Powerful Owl size) might take more like a couple of hundred years or more to form ...... :eek!:

The Old Growth trees, forests, and functioning wetlands, riparian areas, and floodplain, are just soooo important ....
