Owl's Eyes (Otus asio)

I went back to the coast last weekend to visit the Screech Owl again and it didn't disappoint. There were four other photographers there at the time and had been waiting for the bird to open its eyes for hours. One couple told me they'd been there 3 and a half hours. Anyway, they decided to call it a day and I decided to wait because what were the chances the owl would do something right after they left???? Isn't that always the way? Anyway, sure enough, not five minutes after the last person left a flock of Blue Jays showed up. I could hear them a few minutes before they got to the Owl's tree and the second I heard the first Jay the Owl swivled its head and opened its eyes. A minute later the Jays landed in the tree, obviously planning on harassing the Owl and this guy, fast as lightening popped down in its hole and the show was over. But, I did get my owl shot showing these beautiful eyes!

Good. Nice resolution. Using a 2x converter. I've used these before, wasn't satisfied with the resolution, though this came out well enough. Well done. :t: :t: :t:

Superb closeup Deanne, not easy to get open eyes, but you did so well done, excellent image with plenty of detail.
