Oyster parenting (Haematopus ostralegus)

Went out for the day on Monday and settled down in a hide to bird watch. After an hour the peace was shattered by a "gentleman" who arrived and spent the next half hour ranting and raving about the forthcoming referendum. Frustrated and rather fed up, I packed up and left..and was immensely cheered up finding this pair peacefully feeding at the waters edge.

.... well this sight surely made up for coming across that "bore" (I'm being polite!!!) for once Kim;)
