Oystercatcher
The second of three new birds for the river walk on Wednesday.

I'd seen Oystercatchers flying noisily overhead having aerial battles which they do all over the town, but this was the first one I'd seen actually on the river. He had a lovely time in the water, so I may show you another more normal pose sometime;)

The third bird was a heard only in a Woodpecker (presumably a Great Spotted) drumming in a tree. I sat for ages nearby, but never saw it. Years ago I saw one entering a nest hole but have never found the tree again.
