Oystercatchers and friends
That first trip to Kinnordy with the new camera was quite memorable for birds too.

Apart from the Garganey, Little Ringed Plover, Common Snipe and Jack Snipe were at the reserve.

I think I've got them all in this image!!

At the front is a Teal, then the Oystercatchers, but behind, right below the border is a white blob which I'm sure is the LRP, off to the left is a buffish blob, which I think is the Common Snipe and right beside him the Jack Snipe.

I'd picked them all up in the 'scope and took a picture of the area hoping they'd show.

They're not Lifer's, but it's the first time I'd seen Jack Snipe there, shame he didn't come a bit closer and out into the open though.

Nice group shot. As for the birds that weren't totally out in the open, well, you have to save something for next time, right? lol! A fine effort DT, and glad you're enjoying the new camera!

Superb capture of these beauties in their habitat!!! Love to see variety and this is a perfect example!!! Excellent post Delia!!!!

Well spotted! I'm impressed! Don't think I would have seen those snipes. In fact, even after you've said where to look I'm still only seeing one. :S Luckily I'm scheduled for an eye exam in a couple of weeks
