Pacific Spiketail (I think) (Cordulegaster dorsalis)

I think I managed to find a match for this one on line. If I got the right black and yellow dragonfly, this is a Pacific Spiketail, described on-line as "huge and fearless" :eek!:

super lovely macro, just look at those blue eyes, just like mine except that mine are so black.
