Pacific (Hydroprogne caspia)

A Caspian Tern being very calm. Perhaps pacific, or even a pacifist?

Sorry! And sorry again! I haven't browsed today. Been too busy - packing among other things - and now I need to get to bed early. I'm trying the Sea Ranch "circumambulation" tomorrow - an annual organized walk the length of Sea Ranch northwards along the ridge, and back again along the bluff. Just over 20 miles. I may only do the first half. We'll see. I'll browse when I'm back at the house and have had a shower.
My other apology: I just realized it's already Saturday where most of you are. I should have posted my SF shots. I'll do those tomorrow as well. And I can also give a third apology in advance. I'll be travelling on Sunday, so most likely won't post or browse again after the SF set until Monday.

he was definitely keeping a close eye on you, Ann, beautiful photo of this impressive tern, top class, many tfs!!!

My best wishes for your
walk, Doc. There's nothing
like a brisk twenty-miler for
blowing away the cobwebs.
I think your tern relaxing on
the beach has the better
idea, though.
A great shot of this laid-back
bird.
