Painted Stork

Painted Stork (Mycteria leucocephala)

I was driving along the unpaved path near the reservoir and found this bird flying low toward me. The camera was on my neck so I was fast enough to catch him.

You must be very fast. Did you apply an Emergency brake?
Love to see more pic from you. This one is very nice:up:.
A perfect shot, but I still want to know what range of your tele-lense you set at. I understand that you tele-lens can be extended up to 400 mm and if so did you set it at 400 mm and now far away from the bird when this picture was taken? Did you do any cropping with this picture.
I always set my lens at 400mm (600mm 35mm cam equivalent). The distance was about 15 meters.
