Paperbark Flycatcher

Paperbark Flycatcher (Myiagra nana)

And here's Willie Wagtail's almost twin, a Paperbark Flycatcher. We saw quite a few of these, as well as the paperbark trees whose name they bear. So many, in fact, that we started singing their name instead of just saying it - "Paaa-perbark Flyyy-catch'r! (Paaa-perbark Flyyy-catch'r)". I brought one small sheet of paperbark home with me, so now I can be a paperbark writer ;)

LOL I'll expect some masterpieces from you then Ann!!

That's a lovely bird that one and doesn't he look tiny in there!

Yeah it was funny that pic.... I wondered why on earth I'd taken it, took me ages to find the Lapwings (not Sandpipers)... well pretty sure they're Lapwings.

A lovely bird and a super setting. A really special image Ann.
