Pastel colours~Tufted Coquette (Lophornis ornatus)

Here is another piece incorparating pastles and black paper. I think the pastles make the picture look neon and suits the plumage of hummingbirds.
Ive been busy lately as im working on illustrating and entire deck of cards with various hummers for all over the new world, the best ones might make it on here...anyone want to buy a deck of cards?;)

I hope you all enjoy this one, especially you Marian, thank everyone!:t:

So glad to see some new compositions from you - as usual they are so very beautiful, and good luck with your project Sam.

I need to stay away from playing cards. I get hooked on solitaire and wind up with sore wrists ;) But how about greeting cards? Meanwhile, I need to remember tomorrow when I'm home to check that Russian phrase of yours in my dictionary. My bab used to say "As we used to say in the old country, a bird in hand is worth ten on the roof," or some other saying with a precise equivalent in English. She also tried teaching me Russian one summer, but she was better at teaching me breathing techniques so I passed the underwater tests for my life saving certificate - she was a singer, not a teacher ;)

Thanks all:t:

Hi Doc, solitare is a good game, play it via computer and it will save your wrists;)
Greeting cards sounds like a good idea, im still doing the cards, when i get time, as there is never enough time in the day!;)
List of Russian proverb here...im still learning...;)

I know i've commented on this already, looking at it now,why do i get a feeling this is under water? One of the first scuba diving Hummers, maybe they will discover the wonderful world under the surface, how about Hummers trying out the Great Barrier Reef, would be great to see your imagination at work in fishy waters,Sam. ;); Thanks for your nice comments on my testing too. Appreciated. :t:
