Patience
I observed this spider patiently monitoring a line of silk spread across a leaf, one leg on the thread as it remained motionless. I suspect that the spider was waiting for an insect to hit the thread before attacking it. The original photo was heavily cropped, and I am very impressed with the sharpness of the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8
