Peek-a-Boo
Having spent 2 hours listening to this bird's very loud call early yesterday, I eventually spotted him, hidden in the bushes low down near the water. Appeared for only about 15 seconds then was gone again. I had to go to Bird ID Q and A as I had no idea what it was, so many thanks to Hairy Highlander, Parker and especially TZBirder who eventually helped me identify this Clamorous Reed Warbler (through the song). A first for me! Spent another 3 hours early this morning in the same spot, determined to get a better shot, but he remained hidden, yet still calling very loudly, so close, yet so far! Not the best image as mostly hidden by leaves but you can see his lovely face close up. My best friend's comment was ... "you got out of your pit at 5:30am to get a shot of a bird! Are you nuts!!" Yup!
