Peregrine falcon departing King's Cross college chapel (Falco peregrinus)

I spotted this falcon a very long way off, sitting on one of the four spires of the chapel overlooking the busy road beneath it. It seemed to watch flying pigeons with a little unhealthy interest before it spread its wings and flew off after them. It was lucky for me that at the very moment it unfolded its wings I took a picture of it as it flew off into the distance. Apparently there is a little peregrine around here somewhere too...
