Peregrine Falcon

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus)

I took this image of Manchester's Peregrine in 2012 and saved it for the magazine 'British Birds' 'Bird Photograph of the year competition 2013'. The image is full frame and is one of my favourite urban Peregrine images. It bombed in the competition....ah well another day perhaps.

This is the female.
Habitat
Urban
Location
Manchester
Date taken
18th March 2012
Scientific name
Falco peregrinus
Equipment used
Canon 7D Sigma 500f4.5 Hand Held
How nice would that be...To look out of your window, and see a Peregrine floating past. It may have bombed in the competition, but not with me Adi...Cracking aerial take mate!!!

Oh well.... a shame you didn't win Adrian - but what a cracking picture it is.

Cracking shot Adrian, we all know judges know nothing about what makes a good image.

You should stop wasting your talent on competitions,Adrian!! Opinions, opinions and more opinions,it's a great picture with an interesting setting and that's good enough for me. Most pictures are already taken and the unique ones are often captured in arranged settings and have very little to do with natural photography. You should be well pleased with this one my friend. :t:

A beautiful mix of man and nature Adrian. Can't believe it bombed in the comp.
