Whilst observing the peregrine chicks and the mother from across the road, I noticed one of the chicks crawl off to the mother. So I waited until it became visible, and pressed the button on my camera just when I thought it would be best. The peregrine chick chose that moment to stick its head out and start squeaking. The mother looked down at it and closed its eyes at that exact moment. This is now the best of my images, and my most favourite. With this success, all I have to do this summer is to, virus permitting, take pictures of bitterns, barn owls, and other raptors. Cuckoos look like they will evade me another year again. And still waiting for at least one supercell thunderstorm event! Spain with its BIG raptors looks set aside for at least the autumn...
