Picumnus nebulosus
The mottled piculet ("carpinterito ocrceo" or "carpinterito uruguayo" in spanish) is one of my good friends in the east and north of Uruguay. In the following video there's a male in Quebrada de los Cuervos (part of the protected areas national system), in full activity very close to my tent.
