Walking through the woods yesterday, albeit not too far, say a 500 metre distance; the birds I saw most were spotted and pied, although no redstarts and speaking to other people they haven't seen any either which has come as surprise to them.

Someone has put on the board outside that a firecrest was seen a few days ago in the same woods which would be a rarity here, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge otherwise I would have expected a few more people with cameras out yesterday.
