Pied (leucistic?) blackbird (Turdus merula)

This is a frame from an HDV video filmed at Wye, Kent, UK in the summer of 2007. This particular blackbird seems to get on fine with other "normal" blackbirds. In fact he gives the impression of being one of the dominant birds in the group. He is pretty wary and not easy to film.
Location
Wye, Kent
Date taken
2007
Scientific name
Turdus merula
Equipment used
Sony HC1 with Sony 3X teleconverter
o:) Fantastic-looking specimen... if I was a Blackbird I'd be impressed enough to see him as the dominant character! ;) Very beautiful, Bruce, thanks a heap for sharing!!! :t: :t: :t:
