It is evident that the Siberian jay must have evolved in protection of pine trees, as it's colours exactly matches those of the pine tree bark.

Love your images of this bird Hans, great stuff. Also had a look at the pics on the link, what a beautiful place. Another place I would love to visit, its a pity my pockets are too short in my trousers. Thanks for the link, really worth a look, nice work again Hans.

Yes,Hans,a beautifully composed image with the jay close to the pine branch and this luminous green background.Very nice light! and the jay's glance seems to be really full of intelligence.

Great atmosphere,Hans! I even like the shadows from the twigs, creating a peculiar pattern. Its framing the eye very nicely. Like it lots.
