Pine Siskin (Carduelis pinus)

We are in the midst of a wonderful Pine Siskin irruption here in Pennsylvania. What a great little bird. But they are hungry little critters. They devour a bag of thistle seed every 2 days. $$$!

Wonderful shot of this fantastic little bird. We are benefiting from the irruption of siskins here too! Love them but as you said they are hungry little creatures!
