Pine siskin (Carduelis pinus)

Normally, we only see a couple of these at a time and then mostly in the fall and spring. This winter (2008-2009) flocks of up to a hundred are showing up all over the state of Pennsylvania and staying.

Nice one! Beautiful capture. Now we know where our Pine Siskins went. We had a small flock in our backyard in December, but haven't seen any since.
