Piping Plover

Brilliant capture and picture of this beautiful Piping Plover. This one appears to have a thing for bling (lol). Excellent John!!!!!
 
Stanley, again thank you. My thoughts exactly. This one has four bands. There are fewer than 100 breeding pairs around the Great Lakes; most in Michigan. Locally, there is a breeding pair on the city beach and has caused some concern. An area has been cordoned off and a protective cage placed over the nest but with summer approaching, there is fear that the eggs may not hatch. This male, is along the same shoreline but about 4 miles north.
