Piping Plover (Charadrius melodus) Sexes similar. Non-breeding plumage. San Luis Pass, Brazoria County, Texas, USA. Situated on the south-western end of Galveston Island. Gulf of Mexico on the exposed side and West Bay on the sheltered side.
Habitat
Barrier Island, at ca. 1 m (3.3 ft) elevation.

ooh my stanley this is too cute and a superb close-up and how i see my distant ringed plover here well not the same colour but certainly just as cute if i could get close enough.lol.all the best margaret.
