Plain (Tringa semipalmata)

until they lift their wings. I left Martinez early the next morning, ran errands in Berkeley, met up briefly with my niece and her two kids, then drove to my hotel near the SF Airport. I arrived early enough that I could take a long pre-dinner walk along the Bay Trail. Mostly just the usual birds there, but for one surprise I'll get to in a day or two.

LOL true.... they don't have much in the way of plumage markings, do they Ann.
